Default 1915 dwm

My wonderful fiance gave me a 1915 DWM luger for Christmas... I have a few collector guns an 1897 Colt single action army and a revolutionary war flint lock dragoon pistol... but this is my 1st Luger.... I've been browsing the member gallery and the 1915 DWM lugers I've seen there all have a letter after or below the serial number... mine does not.... all my numbers match the serial is 3721... and the 21 is stamped in all the places I've seen on the lugers in the forums photos.... there is very little wear on this gun, and the bluing has very few rubs to the steel, wooden checkered grips and wooden clip bottom.... any advice? or enlightenment would be appreciated.

Please do a search on posting pictures. And them let us take a look at your first Luger. We love to look and it's the best way to tell it's history.

tony, sometimes they don't have a letter / suffix, yours is probably one of them.

Welcome to the forum!

In ref to the finance', keep her, she has good taste

Pictures, proofs on the right, etc would be good.

Gatts, the numbering system for Lugers starts with 1 and goes up to 10,000 with no letter, then starts again at 1a and up to 10000a, then 1b and so on until the contract is finished. So yours is one of the first 10,000 made in that year.

Usually it is due to the size of the pictures, too large won't post.

After you upload your first picture you get taken to a page that tells you to copy this URL..... on that page is the option to upload another picture, if I recall correctly it's at or near the top of the page.

Tony, I have to assume that either the connection got whacked or your pictures are too large...
