Default 1st Luger purchase

Hi all. I kind of made an impulse buy today of a 1920 Luger. I have never own one before and generally I'm a newb for this pistol.
My question is regarding the magazine and lack of holster.
There are no markings on the magazine.

Can anyone tell me if this magazine is correct for the gun? And also, what is an original holster to match?

Thanks.

A nice police Luger, in great condition. The mag isn't correct and modern made. Any markings on the front strap? Often there will be indications of police unit ID's.

I'll check my copy of "History Writ in Steel", it covers German Police Lugers and their markings. Another member may answer before me. Looks like it had previous markings erased from another unit.

Congrats on your first Luger! I can't add to what gunnertwo has told you. I will advise that you watch any number of YouTube videos on field stripping, inspecting, cleaning and properly lubing your Luger. Then enjoy a range trip with some mild 115gn 9mm RN ammo. Many suggest Winchester White box.

Here's the page from "History Writ in Steel". Your Luger was marked for use by the Schutzpolizei Magdeburg.

I found a place with a $200 P.08 Police holster that is not a reproduction. P.M. sent.
