Post Navy on auction

An interesting case study, perhaps. Comments?

(I have no connection with the sale of this gun, and am not interested in buying it.)

Not a bad '08 restoration; some parts better than others. The price is absurd, however..by about every dollar above $1800...lots of these floating around...this seller posts a lot of stuff that is alternatively bogus, misidentified but consistently over priced. Caveat emptor.

Tom, Dwight, Yes this guy has been trying to pawn off a bogus holster for months now. I agree. He either does not know what he is doing or he does....No, I have to qualify that, I wrote him and told him what he had and he is still trying to foist it off on an unsuspecting newbie. Shame! Dwight,
how are you getting on AuctionArms? I have been trying to get on it got a long time (many weeks) and all I get is a continuous loop and an occasional quick flash of the website. I finally thought that it went out of business or something and erased it from my bookmarks.

Big Norm,

Just going to http://www.auctionarms.com/ Works forme with no problem. Try this link, or the link on my original post.

Don't know what to say, otherwise, site is up and going strong (and has been).

Maybe Ed Tinker has some words of wisdom for you.

Norm, I don't know if your Macintosh has a web cache or not that hold the views of sites you have recently visited, but if it does, try flushing the cache and see if you have the same problem. I have no problem visiting auction arms.

John,
I frequently clear my cache but I did it again just for the heck of it. The same thing happened. I had a simular problem on a digital camera that I recently got from Marlboro. It said that it would function on a Mac System 8.6 but all I got was a frozen screen.

AuctonArms worked fine up until about a month ago. Now the best thing I get is a website menu and a one second flash on the website startup screen. Then the looping starts over again.

Somehow, in my pea sized brain, I think that there is a memory problem here someplace.Either that or there is a system problem. I got a message from Excite website that some websites will now only function on System 10 or better for Macs. But that does not explain my digital camera software not working.

Norm,
With all this computer stuff, especially any of it that has to do with uploading pictures, logic does not apply. Its all about evil spirits, shamans, incubusses, sucubusses and blunderbusses.

A client of mine, about ten years ago told me that the only reason we have computers is because God thought that women would not make us sufficiently crazy.

Tom,
I never met a woman that couldn't mess up my mind.

Thanks to Dwights post I was able to Email a message to AuctionArms and I hope that I will get a favorable response. Their site is the only site that I have problems with.

The FIRST thing you need to buy is a PC, and after that a new color printer... we have had this discussion before
