Default PPU .30 cal Luger (7.65x19)

I finally found a few boxes of .30 cal luger for sale on-line.

It's a Maryland Munitions.
I talked to them on the phone to inquire and they only have a few boxes available.

It's expensive $75/box ($1.50/round), but at least they have it in stock. I haven't seen any for sale since 2020.

I had trouble ordering on-line, so I had to call them:

That's pretty steep IMO but I suppose if it's all you can find then you have little choice unless you want to set up to reload. Both Hornady and Sierra make a 90 grain .309" bullet that works well in my Lugers. Not to nitpick but the .30 Luger is 7.65x21mm.

Russ Thanks for the heads up, I just ordered 5 boxes myself. I wish this stuff wasn't so hard to find.

Wow - now there are over 30 on-line stores at Ammo Seeker with the PPU 7.65 (.30 cal luger) !

Only Maryland Munitions had Winchester 7.65mm, but it was $90/box ($1.80/round).

As I understand it, none of the American ammo makers has made a run of .30 Luger for many years. So, whatever you can find is NOS, from which every seller is likely trying to squeeze every penny. I wish the domestic SOBs would at least make proper projectiles and/or brass available. Alas...
