simpson/G date value
I was recently offered a very odd mis-matched luger.
2 digit simson frame and toggle train. Not reblued G date barrel and slide. takedown lever appears to be from the G-date side of the fence. wooden bottom magzine with numbers not legible. Finish looks original on both. Frosty bore, but lands and grooves still sharp Is $500 out of line for this? Mike |

This sounds like an exotic shooter. Since most shooters are now in the $500 range if decent, yours is probably worh more than that as parts. TH

byf42, $500 plus a little more will get you a decent matching Luger. I'd stay away from an "odd, mismatched gun". There are enough nice matching guns available that make a gun like you've discribed pretty undesireable. Try Simpson or Ralph Shattuck for reputible dealers as well as the Lugerforum members who have guns to sell.
