arty sight
Have followed this forum a few days-could use some help.
I have had a real nice 1917 DWM Artillery for a long time which is missing the rear sight.-It had a fine-tune type as the front sight has a adj. screw(also ruined by some fool) I have found a fine tune rear sight which is a little rough-need to know who might be able to finish this-not trying to fake a gun-just want to make it presentable. I have "fooled" with Lugers and other military pieces off and on for many years-remember when drums were $20 and $50 would get you a mint original rig. $20 and $50 were a lot of money then, though. |

Re: FYI: artillery rear sight on ebay right now
a couple of years ago Imperial Firearms in Copperas Cove Texas had some ropos they made and they were advertised at approx. $365 each. The photos I saw of the rear site looked nice.

There you go John, letting the cat out of the bag! And I was going to try to steal it! Oh well, I should know by now there aren't any more "steals" on ebay!

Re: Stealing on eBay...
There are some partzicularly nasty repro P 08 rear sights on the market in Germany at present and some gunsmiths use them to re-barrel P 08s as Artillery models.

Re: Stealing on eBay...
Patrick,
What do these "nasty" sights cost? New manufacture artillery repro barrels are available here for about $225.00 -John |
