Default Bubba Smithed barrel extension

Is this scrap metal or what? Some years back I bought an ebay barrel extension. Now while my son was building it up with toggles etc. we discovered Bubba had modified it by cutting the front barrel side down and the little lug under where the barrel screws in. Bubba cut 0.130 off the front surfaces. Any idea what I can do now? Was this intended for some other model of Luger or what? Anyone know where I can get a good part - ebay does not seem to have one.

Some pics would help. 0.130" is pretty close to the difference between longer Old Model frames and New Model frames, so somebody may have ground it off in an attempt to make it flush with a different frame than what it may have started out on. A fool's errand, BTW. The missing material can easily be fixed by TIG welding and working it down to original dimension.
