Hi guys. Simpsons have a Borchardt listed.
They claim matching numbers. But I looked at the pictures and last 3 digits apparently mismatch…or am I missing something? 837 vs 834?.. Pictures are not too good - please see their listing https://simpsonltd.com/loewe-c-93-bo...931/#gallery-5

The 75837 number on the toggle is the patent number for a Borchardt. The pistol serial number is 834. It isn't a mismatch, but I understand your confusion.

Hi Ron. Thanks. Can I have your 2 cents if the price for this Borchardt is reasonable? I am tempted to own it

The condition as stated (87%) is a bit generous, it looks a little more tired than I would like. The dummy mag/cleaning kit is a nice accessory to have. My personal preference is for the early Loewe produced Borchardts, so that also is on the plus side for me. Still, all in all, I think something a lot closer to $20K would be reasonable. Unfortunately this is a consignment piece, so there is no negotiating on price. Simpson would have to go back to the consignor for a price adjustment, and they have not been willing to do that for me.

No offense, but is this like a sudden 'need'?
As some study before is good to do. |

Not sure I understood your question. But my desire for a Borchardt is not an impulse. I have been thinking about it a lot. Looking, searching. I love the early automatics in general. Especially evolutionary dead ends. Their mechanics at times is amazing and definitely not boring ….
