detail strip videos
I made five additional videos on how to detail strip a luger and one additional video on how to lower the striker for storage.
They can be found at http://www.dropshots.com/dumontc I started sending the files to John Sabato this morning. I plan to make additional videos on magazine spring replacement and side plate disassembly. Chris

I did receive a comment about the way I pronounce the word "sear".
I have a bad habit of calling the "sear" a "seher". If it bothers people I can dub the proper pronunciation over the the offending word. Thanks, Chris

Hi,
Well it certainly didn't bother me. It's pretty obvious what you mean, the videos are excellent! About the parts: A while ago I was discussing lugers with a fellow Dutch collector. We both didn't know the correct Dutch words for certain parts, so we stuck to the 'sear' phrase as well |

Due to comments on my pronunciation of the word "sear" I did remakes of the Detail Strip Upper, and the Manually Lower Striker videos. I now pronounce the offending word as "Trigger bar". The Detail Strip Upper video is over 2 minutes long so it can not be posted on the free page with the rest of the videos. The Extractor video was redone with better lighting and two new videos on Sideplate Disassembly, and Takedown Tool Use were added.
These videos are at the previous posted link under Sep19&20. Chris

Chris,
Excellent work! You are to be commended for undertaking such an endeavor. You provided clear visual explanation of many situations that new owners of a Luger ask "How do I....? Thanks for a valuable teaching tool. Tom |
