Hugh, Looks great. I'd love to shoot it sometime. If I didn't already have a Martz Navy shooter, I probably would have made up one like yours myself. Tom

Sorry Milt, that last flood was just overwhelming! I will open the flood gates again in a month or two. Please keep me in mind, Watching the forum will help! MOst of my work is generated here and a small amount (I think) through my website. I turned down 2 or 3 projects last week. one was a Luger that was recoverd in a fishing net, been in the water 60 yrs I am told, still had the ammo in it(I bet it was a pile of rusted junk-Morgan could do it, but not a novice like me) It also was in SWEDEN so that iced it for me. I had another that was a 75% gun and the owner wanted to know if the value of the reblued rework would be higher, I told him no, it would be less. I get so many inquires, it is hard to keep track of them all (I am real lucky now) It used to not be that way. I hope you will be first in line when the gates are cracked again! It is just not fair to you for me to have your gun too many months. You dont like it and I dont prefer doing it! Besides I thought you HADNT made your mind up yet? Ted

Frank,

Those are the same Cocobolo grips as the top pair in my previous post. They look lighter against the dark color of the gun as opposed to the white background of the first picture. These have been inletted for a 1906 grip safety and go out to Bill tomorrow!

Gruss Gott,Hugh!

First of all I want to thank you again for the

Forum patches!Fabulous!Secondly,I wish to say your

Armadillo pistol looks great!!You label it as being

a "varmint" gun. What the hell do armadillos really

do!!!??They look strange,but I've never seen them

in Arizona.Are they like a special armor-plated

rat?Just curious!

Tschuss! Mark.

Mark,

That is what they are, a big ole armour plated rat that sneaks aroun at night an digs big holes in yur lawn when u ain't watchin. They is also known to hijack Lone Star beer trucks an drink all the beer before it gits to 7-11 where I kin buy it!

Default I don't see the resemblance

Even when I squint hard it doesn't look like an Armadillo

Very nice pistol. Did you need to do anything special to

keep the rear sight in place?

Now I know why you use the moniker "Moron"

Super glue is wonderful stuff!

Seriously, there is a small block of steel silver soldered to the rear of the toggle to give support; the sight is mounted at the front with a screw into the toggle.
