Default Does the Shadow really know?

The Shadow Knows that is was not a Leichtenstein proof lurking on the right side of my Luger. It was a famous gunsmith by the name of Fluckiger in Zurich, Switzerland that stamped his trademark an enrayed Federal cross and F Z for his initial and city enclosed in a bow as in bow and arrow. This gunsmith refurbished an unknown but small quantity in 1923-5. Their distinctive barrels may recognize these with a special front sight by Hammerli of Lenzburg. All the pistols he worked on where rebuilt and refinished to his satisfaction.

Default Re: Dan's Swiss Luger

Dan, you know Dok can have that symbol Laser Engraved on top of a presentation case, that would be sharp! He has done several German Eagles, they are shown on his website and they really dress the case up. Thor

Default Double Stamped?

Is it my imagination or was this stamp double stamped? If so, is that common?

Default Double Stamped?

Yes...unusual for a master gunsmith to do such a thing. It is caused by 'hammer bounce' and most use a hammer with special dampening to avoid it.
