Default 42 marked bottoms on ebay

Okay, no expert, but these sure don't look real to me.

I'd be ecstatic if I could pick up 6 real 42 marked bases.

Those may have been around once already; no one bit.

They look like krapola to me.

They look like bad reproductions to me... (???). More than $2, though.

Gentlemen, I would hate to disagree with the majority here, but these pieces COULD be genuine, but have suffered by very damp poor storage over the years causing the pits, aluminum surface corrosion and discoloration we see in the photos. The font used in stamping the "42" looks like it could also be genuine.

Even though they are "ugly" they would still be cleanable and functional... BUT I don't think they are worth what is being asked for them.
