Newest Gun Show Treasure
Picked this one up at the Houston GS Saturday. Mauser Navy Commemorative, there were 250 made in 1979 and 100 imported by Interarms. This one is marked Interarms and is SN 0011. According to "THE MAUSER PARABELLUM" by Francis Allen; "The pistol is fitted with a six-inch barrel, special adjustable rear sight similar to the one on it's namesake, a lanyard loop and stock lug. This was the first of the Mauser Parabellums to be equipped with a stock lug. The left frame side has '75 Jahre/Parabellum - Pistole/Kaiserreich Marine' in relief. The guns come in fitted leather attache' cases containing the take down tool, cleaning rod, spare magazine and a copy of John Walter's excellent book 'Luger'."
A Simpson Ltd July 1999 "Luger List" on page 22 lists SN 0241 for $2750. I paid $1450 for this one.

Hugh, that's a beauty! Somewhere down the line I intend to buy a Mauser Parabellum but I want one to shoot. I just couldn't bring myself to firing something as nice as the one you have. A great buy! Congratulations.

Hugh, I have never seen one of these up close. Is the inscription made on a plate that is attached to the left side? or is it actually done to the frame?
