That price is not really out of line. Back around 89 or 90 when I worked in Roseville I went over to John's house during lunch one day and he had just finished a Luger carbine, a standard model not a Navy one, and he wanted $7500 for it then. He really does beautiful work.

Herb, I wasn't suggesting the price was out of line. What I was trying to convey was my disbelief that they would offer something for sale which was that pricy without a picture.
The wood is in the outstanding category, not only the work, but the character. Wow. I don't know if I want this one to remain on the market for long. It's too tempting. |
