1918 DWM Police
On another forum someone posted information and a picture of a 1918 dated DWM with a sear safety. The grip strap marking is P.S. 14. . Anyone know the meaning of the marking?

I dont know the meaning of that marking but I'd like info on the pistol as I came across one like that lately. It didnt have unit markings but was a 1918 DWM with a sear safety...

Boy, that's a relief! For a moment there I thought it might be a Public School 14 pistol where the infamous Madam Genalolita Jenara Rosabottom spent her formative years.

Hey Ron,
You and Wes and Tacfoley have way too much time on your hands not being spent on Luger research.

Jan,
I had looked through Weimar Lugers before asking the question, but missed that. Thanks. |

Damn! That Jan Stills fella knows his stuff...course, he has the obvious advantage of having his very own books around and I am forced to try and remember what he said in all those books that I bought, which is why he is rich and I am not. Doesn't seem fair to me.
Needs to be investigated. Special Luger Forum Prosecutor. Mebbe I will call in some reverends (Jackson, Sharpton and Feelgood) who have insight into the "red meat" issues of the inner cities so that I can get a fair hearing. But then again, mebbe not. Does this sound like an Al Gore speech? Tom A. |

Don't feel like the Lone Ranger, Jan. Us retired guys live on the edge of that situation every day. <img src="graemlins/beerchug.gif" border="0" alt="[cheers]" />
