They were made by Erma, Haenel and to a lesser degree, Mauser.

Maybe that somewhat new movie "Fury", will spark some interest in these. It's out on DVD currently, maybe a savvy guy can get a screen-grab and post it here for those who don't know what I'm writing about.

Yes, I saw the StG44 in Fury. And I found the ATI/GSG 22 cal StG44 brand new and on sale at a local sporting goods chain last week for $379. I couldn't resist so it came home with me...

CDNN has them for $299 now....$329 with the crate.

..I still wish they had at least made them in 22 Magnum......would have given it a little punch....oh well

Took my new StG44 to the range today and I was quite pleased. Shot around 250 rounds of various HV 22LR ammo - Winchester, CCI Mini Mags, Remington, & Federal American Eagle and I had only one failure to chamber a round (it got pinched during the feed). It doesn't seem to be picky about the ammo at all. Like other comments I read, it shot a bit low, but that was quickly remedied by adjusting the sight.

It drew much interest from the folks there and I can't begin to tell you how much fun it was to shoot. Pure and simple - it's a blast! Very happy with this firearm.
