My other weakness when it comes to pistols is black powder cap and ball. I have a Ruger "Old Army" .45 caliber revolver and a Pedersoli .44 caliber derringer that I shoot regularly. The RSO's at the range always put me down wind of the other shooters because of all the smoke I generate.

Both pistols are a joy to shoot due to the "Ker Bang" report, the flash of fire, and the huge puff of smoke. Here they are....

I'm also kind of partial to the Colt Police Positive...

Here are most of them.

Ron;

Here's my latest: Caliber 450 Eley Short, made in 1876 and sent to England where it was silver plated. Only about 250 made in this caliber.

This is a WONDERFUL Thread!!!

I wish I had some pictures to post (when I get time?) - but lately, I've been falling into the swan song of fine double shotguns and trap guns (I shoot a lot of trap - but that's another subject...)...

My collection so far? Parker GHE (1917), Wm. Scott SxS Gilder (1920), Daly Prussian Lightweight (1906), Wm Read (1916), Ithaca 4E SxS trap (1927), IJ SxS Trap, Ithaca 4E Knick (1949), Browning Ultra XT (well - 2003, but it's my every weekend trap gun ), Merkel 147 SL with Game Scenes Custom Engraving, and closing in on a Daly Diamond Prussian SxS Trap...

Also - have a few others, like tangent sight H-Ps, Win '92 in 44-40, Mauser 340 ESB Prewar, etc..

Default SIG AMT & PE 57 from my small collection

Is it OK that I like wierd rifles also? I was extreamly happy to pick one of these beautiful SIG PE 57 (Cal 7.5x55 Swiss) rifles up this year. I recently shot it and I am more than pleased with its accuacy and the way it handles. I think it is nicer than my SIG AMT (Wood stocked 7.63 NATO). I just wanted to share the pictires of my favorite Rifles.

Very interesting guns coming up
fg42, I guess you mean 7.62NATO.

In my safe I find mostly just 'boring' hunting guns, like;

A Mauser K98 converted into 7.62Nato (elk)
Mauser K98 in original shape (collection)
Marlin .22 (birds)
Marlin 336 (Deer)
Remington 870 SM (birds)
2* Beretta single barrel shotguns (birds)
Star shotgun (birds)

+ a handfull of Lugers, one Melior 7.62, one Montenegrin 11.75 and one Mauser 1914.
I also have a MP5, glock and G3 rifle in there, but those belong to the military.

Hi,

Nice thread. This old bugger sleeps between my lugers and he's quite happy with it, especially since his holsterstock got some nice leather, courtesy of Richie, 'the Gunman'.

Ed, I had a M1 Garand a few years ago, but had to deactivate it
It was stamped with a lion, so it had been in our army at some point, then sold out to the civilian marked.. and later to be 'banned'.

I really miss that rifle.. truly a great gun!

Default 7.62- 7.63 & krags

Yes Morgan 7.62 NATO. Any time after 2 AM I tend to get numerically dyslexic . I have the same problem with Tokarev's and Argentine Mausers. I also have a problem passing Krag's. Bob Benson
