Oberndorf P-08Navy Luger?

Hi at all, I am asking for your help again!!!!

One dealer in Germany, (I live in Argentina) told me that this pistol is:
"The Ã¢??Oberndorf P-08Ã¢?Â is number 310 V (very, very low), is in exc cond, inside and outside, all matching, and I never seen one for sale, or know about one for sale (neither in Internet)
This pistols were built in Oberndorf as the 1st production by the Mauser fabric in the early Ã?Â´30, all this info are in the Weimar and Early Nazi Lugers and Their Accessories - Volume III- pag258/279/288 -- by Jan C Still"

and for the marks in the front is a "Navy Luger"

please I enclosed a pics, if anyone can help me... Thanks!!!

Hi Waffenrec,

I cannot see any navy markings from your pics; perhaps if you would do some close ups.

Hi,
Is this 9mm? Is the letter suffix v or perhaps it is u? s,t or u suffix would make this an 29 DWM. O=Ostsee?

Hello, no doubts is a V suffix, and the pistol is 9mm

It is a late Weimar Navy, Kiel issue. These were pulled from normal DWM commercial production. Not many around and most collectors have little knowledge of the Weimar Navy.

Hi Tom, thanks for your answer, did you read in the Still book? this coincides !!!

Adrian,

Tom has sufficient experience with navy lugers so that he would not now have to refer to the book you mentioned. In fact, Tom is the preocess of writing a book on navy lugers.

Lew1,

I am humbled by such words.

While Navy Lugers are an area in which I may lay claim to being a reasonably knowledgable individual, I , like all am subject to human error and "dis-remembering" things-That is remembering something that is pertinent but WRONG. I make many boo-boos, but I am very active in Luger acquisition and perhaps I am right 51% of the time.

In any event, thank you for the vote of confidence.

Adrian, you are correct, these Weimar Navy pieces are treasures and the buying public has virtually no knowledge about them. I jump on them whenever i find them.
