Question 1906 Navy W.K. 8208

New to forum. Just got the new toy and everything is "normal" except that the sideplate and extractor are also stamped with the last 2 digits in the military style. Any thoughts or comments would be appreciated...... dave

Dave,
I am looking at buying a 1906 first issue altered Navy which is also WKxxxx unit marked (can't remember the numbers just now)
This one is in very nice condition an is complete with it's Danish Holster (They were reissued to the Danish wharf poilce in WW2) I would be interested to learn about your gun and if you dont mind about how much did it cost you.
Regards
Murray

Murray...The gun is a first altered and pretty much as discribed in IMPERIAL LUGERS with the exception that in additon to the normal commercial stlye placement it has the last 2 on the sideplate and extractor as you would normally see in a military gun. All matching except for the mag which was nice black plastic fxo. I bought it from a friend who I do a lot of shows with and we try and to treat each other fairly....... He was very kind to me on it and the price paid is really not representative of what I see them trading for. Isn't it nice that there are still poeple out there like that. dave

Dave,
Thanks for your reply, Yes you are correct, it is nice to have a few friends who treat you fairly.
The gun that I am hoping to purchase is coming up in an auction so I was interested in getting some idea of what such a Navy first issue altered would be worth on the US market.
If you have some idea I would be interested to know.
Regards
Murray.

First issue altered in 95% condition typically bring somewhere around $2500-3200 lately.

Hope this helps.
