Default Navy Luger at the Range

Bought this off Ebay for a couple of dollars. Most period pictures of Naval Lugers are with a group of sailors posing. This picture is most likely early WW2. It depicts the happy couple out at the range. My interpretation is he is going to show his date how to shoot a pistol. It looks like the young officer is done shooting and has a P38 lying on the table pointed down the shooting line. Not safe. She brought her own pistol, a Navy Luger, and is now dropping the last round into the 10-Ring.
