I look for barrels that are NOS or interestingly marked, and there was the marking on the front of the barrel?

what is this marking

I have just never seen a number stamped there - besides a 'workers' marking, what else would it be?

Armorers mark indicating blade height?? Oversize/undersize dovetail width???
