I’m impressed, it’s clearly high quality work and I’m pleased to see that no collectible gun was harmed in it’s fabrication. The top half may have come from an Artillery but it’s frame is Mauser.

I don't usually care for "decorated" firearms; but that luger is as tastefully done as any I have seen; even the price is not "too" outrageous.

I would lose the stag grips though.

The original serial number on the frame appears to have been altered. Is this gun even legal to own?

Back in the 50s, EMF or someone like that had a neat catalogue with many pages of WW 2 German pistols.
Many looked like this.
Spent many hours drooling over them.
just a kid with no money then.

I'm with Don, I think the OP's gun would look classier with faux ivory grips. The nicest embellished Luger I've seen so far is the Navy shown below, OK maybe I'm a little biased!

I would have no problem being the owner of that custom arty.......if I had an extra $4K+. I like quality engraved handguns and shotguns. I don't have many due to their value, but I like them nevertheless.

I'm not a big fan of stag grips either.

I tend to like guns like this, as long as "no collectibles were harmed" - BUT - I wouldn't pay $5K for it!
