Default Muzzle and front sight protector

Can anyone help please identify the maker of the protector fitted to this re-barrelled 1910 DWM? The makers initials are MW. Slots simply over the muzzle and is secured by twisting the spring wire collar. The pistol as can be seen has been adapted for target shooting, in Finland in this example. Apologies that photos are not the best!

Does the dust-cap move to one side before you fire?
