Smile Ejector variations

Earlier thread told of my issue with rounds smoke stacking while feeding next round correctly.

That turned out to be the "EJECTOR" (not the "EXTRACTOR").

In the process of obtaining another.

Which brings me to todays topic.

How many variations are there to the Ejector ?

Be there two or twenty will they all function in the earlier models like my 1916 ?

Thank you kindly for any input !!!

And a Happy Thanksgiving !!!!

There were only 2 styles of luger ejectors (M1900 or post 1906) in use on original production lugers, made prior to the end of WW2. Post war, 22lr copies and custom luger extractor may vary. TH

Tom is right about the extractors, of course, particularly concerning the last bit about copies, etc. As an example, the extractor on the stainless P.08 I just sold to Rich was '06+ style--but without the little "ears" on its sides.

Far as I know, ejectors are all the same, whatever the vintage.

I believe Tom meant "ejectors",
There are two types, one for the 1900 variants and another for the 1904-06-08 variants.

This what I said in my earlier post, there are TWO types of EJECTORS!

And either may require fitting to its model, but they CANNOT be fit to the other series.

In 1937, the Mauser ejectors were changed in finish from strawed to salt blued like the other previously strawed parts.

A 1916 DWM should have a strawed ejector.

Marc is correct, the finish is appearance/finish difference;
the later type is the same structural configuration, whether
strawed or blue.

You will find ejectors, especially replacement ejectors in all "colors, from no finish, to straw, to plum, to blue, to nearly black. And occasionally a chrome or "gold" plated one too.
