...for a decent price of $ 575.00...

(As usual, I have no connection with this gun...).

For a nickeled gun that one looks pretty nice.

When thinking about a shiny Luger shooter, however, one should keep in mind something which I discovered when I went to shoot mine: If you think the sight picture on a regular Luger is bad, nickeled sights are a hundred times worse! They are too brilliant and reflective to focus on adequately--the pleasure of the Shiny Luger is in the owning, not the shooting.

Actually, now that I have thoughty about it for a minute (its been a while since I shot my shiny gun) its not just the sights. The angle of the toggle tail (down to the toggle stop) is such that it reflects light directly into your eyes. I suppose that blackening would take care of that too, but it begins to defeat the whole shiny-gun ppurpose.

Dwight, why would you shoot a shiny gun during the daylight? I usually use mine in dark alley's, 7-11's, etc.

I don't ever have this problem? But then, I don't use the sights, just point and shoot!
