Default 1917 dwm stamp

i just got a 1917 dwm, it has a stamp on the frame in front of the barrell and i'm not sure what it is? it is a "RC" stamp with what looks to be a crown on top of it? any clue?

Often referred to as a Revisions Commission stamp, it supposedly notes that the luger was accepted with some aspect of it failing specifications. Usually seen on late WW1 pieces, especially Erfurts.
