Default Re: 1917 Luger

Hi Rees,

Welcome to the Luger Forum. Go to the Technical Section and download one (or both) of the forms found there for indentification. After filling out all the marks and numbers detailed there, please return with that info and post all that data here, and someone will be able to answer your question.

A Luger is valued based on four major things:

â?¢ Variation (what model/type/date/contract/etc)

â?¢ Are all the numbers matching

Ã?Â*Ã?Â*(do all small parts have the same 2 digit number)

Ã?Â*Ã?Â*(are those numbers the same as the last 2 digits of S/N)

Ã?Â*Ã?Â*(does the magazine have matching serial number)

â?¢ Condition of bluing (expressed as a percentage)

â?¢ Condition of strawing (if applicable as a percentage)

With this info one of our many expert collectors can give you a fair idear of your Luger's worth.
