This unit mark is on a DWM single date (1921), serial # 8431b.
Front grip strap marked A./J.R.21.38
Can someone identify the mark?

Hi Carl,

It's a new production of 1921 Army contract Luger marked to Ausbildungs / Infantry Regiment 21 weapon #38.

The Training Company of the 21st Infantry Regiment.

The Training Company was comprised of the most combat experienced troops in the Regiment.

All 1921 Army Lugers are in the no suffix, a and b serial number suffix blocks. The Army procured approx.

10,000 1921 DWMs.
