The Blue and The Gold
Small parts were strawed on DWMs and other Lugers with certain springs fire blued. I am now doing both on my Luger reworks. They sure make a nice contrast! Ted

Hard to believe that no one has commented on how great
your strawing looks on this safety lever Ted. You should write a short article for the FAQ on strawing and use this photo for your "after picture" Excellent work! I'll bet it took a lot of patience and experimentation to come up with the right temperatures...

Ted has gotten so good that we have come to expect this kind of results from him. Anything less would be a disappointment!

I wasn't talking methodologies Ted!
Holy Heat Treatment Batman! Secrets is Secrets TED! I was talking about the definition of "strawing" with some photos of examples of what factory colors looked like and then then some "before" and "after" photos of the results of your very fine restoration craftsmanship. I wasn't talking about giving away the farm! How else would you be able to afford your favorite hobby? Sheeessh TED!

Re: I wasn't talking methodologies Ted!
The Alchemist's name is Merlin. I have also heard that Ted is working on turing lead into gold also. he does such good work on Lugers, he may be successful with the lead/gold theory, ha, ha
