Default Shot my La-22 Erma "Luger" the other day

I had to get mine out after the dissusion last week about these pistols.

Mine shoots good tight groups, 1" or less at 25 yards if

I do my part. It is very ammo sensitve. The ammo it liked best was Winchester "Super-Maxx" . The guys at the range

say its not made anymore. Some of the best groups I've ever shot with my 1917 DWM Artillery were right after I had shot this pistol.

The finish on my gun is in bad shape, any suggestions on

how to strip the rest of the paint without melting the

zinc or whatever pot metal this thing is made of?

TIA
