Det Spl markings...

Good day to all,

A 1st issue Detective Special from a Police force and so marked on the backstrap. Unsure of the markings that I identify as :

R: ???
H K P : Hong Kong Police
Weapon no. 6349

Anyone familiar with those ??

I think the R could stand for Revolver ( ?? )...

Note: Revolver is reblued to a matte blue finish & was acquired with a 1908 380 from the Shangai Police...

I didnt want to offend no one...

I will not get into politics as I just finished reading a book about Canada's history establishing incredible facts like antisemitism against the Jewish population right here in Toronto in the years before Hitler started his final solution...
