Default Interarms Mauser Swiss Style..??

Hey Guys.....Im "thinking"...(dangerous process)...of picking up an Interarms 6" Barrel Mauser Luger.........and I have seen them advertised variously as "Swiss Style Grip"...and then the German Style Grip......what is the difference and has anyone that has purchased one............can you tell any big difference in the two styles..???......looks like the Swiss Style grip is almost straight down....and the German style comes out at the bottom...which to me appears to be a more comfortable hand hold...??.....anyway....I would love to hear some opinions on the two different styles of Interarms Mausers...........Thanks.....Hans Fischer

Hans:
You are correct in that the Swiss pattern is straight down the front grip strap, while the P08 style has that flair on the bottom. Not sure why they changed it, probably fewer machine steps in manufacturing. As for shootability, not much difference, maybe the flair adds to the hand hold, maybe not. I think the difference is asthetics, the flaired bottom just looks nicer to my eyes. Also I'm just guessing here but I suspect that the Swiss pattern Interarms Parabellum will bring a few dollars less than the P08 pattern. The bigger concern on those guns is barrel length and caliber.
Everyone should have one to shoot, for a while at least.

I own a P08 style Mauser Parabellum, and a 6/29 Swiss. Both shoot well, and I feel no real difference at the firing line.

One of my favorite shooters was a 6" P08 style Interarms gun in 9mm. The only thing that bugged me was the square'ish feel of the grips, and I regret not sending them to Hugh Clark for correct re-shaping.
But something newer and shinier came alone so it went away.

Hans,
If you want to have more information about the Mauser Parabellum production you can refer to our book that describes, based upon the Mauser archive, this last production.
Check: www.theparabellumisback.com for additional info.

Cheers,
Mauro
