Default Your thougts on this Target Luger.

I shot NRA 3 gun bullseye competion while in the Coast Guard. Always wanted a target Luger. Simpson's has nice looking target Luger listed in it's 'One of a kind' section, item number OK-05. I,ve been looking at this for some time now. At $1,195, it seems not that bad seeing some non matching Luger shooters bring over $800 here in New Hampshire. The cost of converting a shooter grade Luger to the one Simpsons has would most likely cost over the $400 I guess. Not sure if I should haved posted a link. I guess I could copy a picture, send it to photobucked, then post it here..Any opinions on this Luger?
Thanks, Bill

You should have posted a link. As mentioned elsewhere by others, some members are at work and don't have time to hunt down one page on a large site...But they do have time to do a quick link and offer an opinion...

I'm on vacation today, so I do have time...Not that my opinion is worth a rats a$$, but I'll look...Might take a while - I'm on a dial-up...

Linky - http://www.simpsonltd.com/product_in...c5682154cdd4ef

That's been posted here before (possibly by you?)...Do a Search and you'll read some opinions on it...

Ah! Here's the thread I was thinking of... http://forum.lugerforum.com/showthre...=target+lugers

You can disregard my comments, if you like...But the pics (of this Simpson's target conversion) speak for themselves...Not a very good conversion, IMHO...Some good ideas, just not very well executed...I think you would spend a lot of time & $$$ getting this thing to shoot & (more importantly to me) look good...

My $.02...

CRS is universal...

It's not a big problem; I just extended the life on one of my threads this morning...but the link is pretty much critical...Members at work can click a link and offer a quick opinion...And I've found that a direct link to a pic or sometimes even a web page can get by a corporate firewall...Even if that site is blocked...

The parts of that Luger aren't all that bad...they're just not put together as well as they could be...

As Sally Field told Paul Newman...It's not a bad job...She just did it badly...

I believe it is hideous; especially the bulbous barrel end and the awful grips.
