Default 24th Leib Dragoon marked 1910 DWM

A 1910 DWM unit marked to 24.D.3.11. 24th Leib Dragoon Regiment 3rd Eskadron Waffe 11.

All matching ser# 3157 c including grips which are marked with all four digits of the serial number. Magazine is mis-matched but close enough ser# 3475 c.

The 24th Leib Dragoons were attached to the 25th Infantry Division, 2nd Cavalry Div. and 3rd Cavalry Div. as per Jeff Noll's Imperial German Regimental Markings. According to Histories of 251 Div. of the German Army. The 24th Leib Dragoons were part of the 2nd Cavalry "3rd Eskadron detached" I am assuming that the 3rd Eskadron was assigned to the 25th Div., with the 6th Dragoon Regiment.

Shown with 1910 Holster marked to the 6th Dragoon Regiment 2nd
Eskadron.

Hi Brent,

Yup, it finally got here. It got delayed a bit because the guy I bought it from had some health issues.

Ed,

It did come out better than I expected. I had to take pictures in my Labora-tory cause it's raining Cat Fish outside. Oregon in November... go figure.

Thanks...

Ron

Default 24th Leib Dragoon marked 1910 DWM

Ron,
A very nice Dragoon! And to compliment it, how about this Imperial Dragoon feldm¼tze, circa 1897-1914, i.d'd to either Schleswig-Holstein Regiment 13 (33rd Infantry Division, XVI Army Corps, Metz) or Kurm¤rk Regiment 14 (29th Infantry Division, XV Army Corps, Colmar in Alsace).

Again, nice pick-up. There's just something about the pre-war unit marked pieces, either P-08's or Gewehr 98's.

Mike,

That's pretty nice. BTW, I take donations. ;-)

Bill,

That is close. I would like to see it. Hard to believe that they very possibly shared the same rack at some point in the factory.

Mike,

Thanks for the notice, but I accumulate enough stuff without getting into uniforms, hats, caps, etc.
