John,
Check is on the way. Just don't try to cash it until I'm dead.
I felt guilty about my crumby collection, so I sent $2.00 for each. Glad to help.

Ron

Hi John D.,

Santa has sent something from the Ebbink household to the Dunkle household via the elves at PayPal.

Thanks for all you have done for us Luger nuts...!!!

Hey Ron S.,

If your collection is truly crumby, you might try not eating potato chips while at the work bench...just pulling your chain, of course...

Regards,

Pete...

An idea like this came up on another forum and there was a lot of bitching from certain quarters. Hard to figure why since it was entirely voluntary. Guess the crowd here is not as cranky.

It is like a platoon in the army. You have a couple of troops who complain (might be the squad leaders, might be the M249 gunner) and pretty soon, everyone is raising hell.

But if folks want to raise heck about supporting the site, they can go elsewhere! Not very Christmtssy I know, so lets say it this way, they can ho, ho, ho to another site

Pete,
The crumbs coagulate in the gun oil. Keeps them from rattling. And holds the toggle pins in place. You get alittle backsplatter when you fire them, but not bad.

John, Do I have to put up with this ridicule?

It's cause we be classy folks. The "Looger Elite."
(It's got nothing to do with the compromising 8X10 glossys from Reno, John D has threatened to post.)

John,

I can't think of a more worthy cause to support - and wish to take this opportunity to thank you and everyone who works so diligently to make the Luger Forum such a wonderful site for all of us who use it. I've sent a token of my appreciation via Pay Pay.

Happy Holidays to all. God Bless us, everyone!

John, as I only have one Luger, a very sweet restored K date, $1 just doesnt seem enough. I will REITTERATE the offer I made to you in June/July of this year, I will donate a FULL Luger restoration job for any Luger you send me. No Charge! Even that isnt enough but MAY be worth a bit more than a dollar! For all you and Jen have done for us! We are permanantly grateful. Herr Thorster

Man, ya can't beat that offer! Just gotta say Ted you are one generous guy! Glad to see everyone is jumping on board with support...

John, Just had a thought, if you have no immediate need for Thor's restoration offer you could auction or raffle it off. I know more than a few of us would be interested in the excellent work Ted does for one of our doggy pistols. ten bucks a ticket times a hundred guys.....Could make Ted's work go a long way towards a huge contribution. I would buy the first ticket!

I'll second the idea of raffling off the restoration job.

Meanwhile I am mailing a check for $XX.75. That's $1 per Luger plus $0.50 for the Erma look like plus $0.25 for a small non-shooting model of a Luger.

You folks are simply OUTSTANDING! While I'm a bit behind in retrieving the mail from the PO Box - I hope to have everyone's title updated shortly. As well - again - I think I should have the New Forum complete this week, but it depends on how much over-time at the new job I'm asked to work.

Now - about the "second part time job" at the Gun Store........

I LOVE IT! It is so different then the computer market research real job I also have - it's amazing! Ted - my thanks for your generous offer - I have to start stashing some cash in the future to purchase a shooter.

My sincerest thanks to all - and I can't wait to get some of the new features of the new software installed and programmed for all of you......

My thanks again - and best to all!!!

Wait a minute... I missed that..! I thought Jerry's idea was a Holiday Raffle for one of Ted's excellent restorations.. (OK - I'm getting a bit senile I guess??) However - a raffle for the site with Ted WOULD BE OUTSTANDING!! Hey Ted - if you are up for it - so am I!!! (However - I'll probably regret it when a good "shooter" comes in, but the cash for the site/circuits are probably a priority right now..)??

Best to you!

Well, I think Ted meant and Jerry changed his meant to a meant for the members.

You know what I mean(t)

and I'd take a chance in a heartbeat for a raffle too

Well - I see what you mean but I'm not sure what you meant? I usually mean what I meant when I say what I mean - even though I'm pretty sure Jerry meant something else? And Ted usually means well - so he probably meant what you meant, even though I'm not certain he meant what I mean - if you get my drift??

And oh â?? Jerry and Ted aren't mean, which I donâ??t think you meant, either â?? as Iâ??m also pretty sure you arenâ??t that meanâ?¦..

It's Ed's fault.... It always is Ed's fault..... At least in my world - it's only Ed's fault. Sorry to hi-jack this thread.... Now - what were we discussing? Oh yea - your raffle!!! Well - let's do it!!!! When you do - maybe post it in the Site Help and Feedback Forum - and I'll do my best to close it before Ed can hi-jack that one too.......

I had no idea I was dealing with such a clever group! Now, let's see if I understand this: Thor is willing to donate one Luger restoration--and the idea is to raffle the restoration off at $10 per ticket. Do you want to win a TLSS restoration? Do you feel lucky? Well do ya, punk? Sounds great--I'll buy two!
