Checkpoint Charlie's Lugers and stuff
He has some Lugers posted on his list, but no pictures. Anyone ever purchase a Luger from him?
He also had reproduction Artillery Luger (LP-08) stock iron cover leather boots for $9.95. I will email him and see if he has any photos of these available. |

Re: Checkpoint Charlie's Lugers and stuff
I have not purchased any guns but have bought quite a few holsters and acessories which were as advertised. I also was able to return any item that I was not happy with. I visited his shop about 4 years ago and at that time he had some good looking weapons. I have steered my collecting buddies here in Austin to him and all have been satisfied with their purchases.

Re: Checkpoint Charlie's Lugers and stuff
I definetly have bought several Lugers form Charlie. I call and talk with him about the condition and he has always given me a good description. If he says it is 95%, it will be 95% and no more, but he won't misrepresent anything. I have also bought a number of holsters from him too and they are as represented. IN addition ot Lugers, I have bought a rifle and other German used pistols. His inventory is a little lower now than it was, but he still has some decent pistols.
In addition, Charlie has taken over the repair business of holsters from Frank DeMauro, who died last year. I can't vouch for his repairs, but I have heard some good things. I also feel Charlie would be a good addition ot the Links Site. Charlie is also a member of NAPCA. Marvin |
