Rottenweilers

I noticed in the 1924 Pacific Arms catalog (which I can't find anymore) that a powder named "Rottweiler" which showed up very well in both 7.65 mm and 9mm Lugers.

Does anyone know anything about this powder? Was it German?

tac, I suppose whoever composed the catalog didn't know about the "er" because they listed the loads with it that way. At any rate, it showed up very well, if the figures are accurate.

I'm familiar with the RWS company because of the slugs and a couple of other items. Would expect good stuff from them.

Would you grant me permission to post your reply on another board or would I have to outrun your rottie?

I merged the threads and renamed it Rottenweilers, cuz those silly dogs!

We had one, she was a sweety, but dont come into the house with me in tow...

Ed, thanks for merging the threads. When I read the "rotten" part I was baffled; I didn't think I'd made that mistake, though I've made a lot lately.

It's been a whole lot of years since I spoke German but I seem to recall that a noun that ended in ER denoted that it was a masculine noun. The hard part in learning German is trying to figure out just what a noun was supposed to be, nearly everythin is either femine or masculine which is strange to an english speaker as about the only thing we do that with is something like 'she is a good ship'. Then Rottweiler would be correct in this instance. Imagine saying 'put the beer in him' indicating the refrigerator, lol.

Didn't Kennedy state in Berlin that he was a small cake?

'Ich bin ein Berliner', where a Berliner is actually some kind of local cake or treat?

I think the Rottweiler Pulverfabriken cheated, calling themselves 'Rottweiler' and having a factory in Berlin.

Tac, we took that photo in March. Now they are baking their brains out, maybe 35 C in the shade. Fun place this Pittsbugh. They are celebrating the whiskey rebellion this weekend! 210th anniversary I think.
