Default Simson for sale

From the pictures found on the Net, to me this SIMSON for sale at the price of € 2,200.00 looks refinished.
I'd be interested to know the opinion of some other Luger enthusiasts.

This serial number was first reported in auto mag in 1992 - I had no other information on it

It may have been refinished, but I have found that the toggles and the acceptance markings are sometimes light on Simsons (hard receivers / toggles).
That said, the upper looks a bit off to me also - not consistent wear with the front gripstrap....

Is the stock lug stamped? ( i now see american fakers stamping the stock lugs), but its a good indication that the frame was twice checked at the factory.

Refinished over extensive but fine pitting; visible in every picture.

This afternoon I went to have a hands on inspection at that SIMSON.
In practice to me it looked completely different from the photos; I mean the bluish colour of the pictures is completely wrong and in all honesty I couldn't see the expected evidence of pitting under the finish, nevertheless I'm not convinced about it.
Photographs are not always a good indicator of what the actual finish looks like BUT in some cases they can emphasize small details like, for instance the fact that in this case the toggle axle pin looks blued.
