Frank, These are finer checkered than normal, reddish brown plastic PO8 grips used on some of the early Kreighoff produced lugers. TH

Hello Frank H.,
I had created a photo essay on Ritzmann grips in our Member's Gallery...now on page 2. I do not have my R. Gibson book on HK Lugers handy, today, but if I remember correctly the Ritzmann grips started appearing on early-mid series S-code HK luger around serial # 2200-2500 and ran through into the 2-digit "36" dated HK lugers. By the time the 4-digit "1936" dated HL lugers were made, HK switched to a more coarse brown plastic grips, very similar to Mauser "Black Widow" grips but brown in color... Regards, Pete... <img border="0" alt="[typing]" title="" src="graemlins/yltype.gif" /> |
