Bill, cost makes a difference. If its a $1000 gun, a lot less worry and risk than a $2500 gun...

If one saves cost by circumventing the legal process, you risk a violation if it is discovered.
If you make a claim regarding loss or damage, you are caught. +you don't get any refund to help pay your lawyer. |

My Postmaster looked at my C & R, and said it was OK. He kept my license on file. I guess it depends on the Postmaster.
