Default Holster?

What is this? A holster for the dyslexic or true lefties?

It's a pretty terrible reproduction.

Otto Sindel's holsters are amongst the very best whereas calling this monstrosity mediocre is a compliment. JMHO

The 39.96 price says it all. Oats are always cheaper at the back end of the horse

Otto Sindel is alive and working in Pakistan.

Well, it's OK for sticking your deactivated or replica Luger into. If that's what floats your boat....

I bet the Paki's have or will make more holsters than the Germans did.

Who cares....it is a crappy holster on ebay that is sold every day on that platform. One can go to the sellers website and see the other poorly made repos any day. I posted then link because it was funny and looked awkward being a lefty. Ugly one for sure......worst one yet. I could care less if the photo will soon disappear because my post was not for educational purposes.

If you have the time to post photos from ebay, then maybe you should become the ebay photo coordinator for the forums. Knock yourself out, if it means that much to you. I am sure there are dozens of posts that would keep you busy.

In the past, forum moderators requested that pictures be posted or attached directly to forum threads. This is in part because some members are given Internet access and computers/laptops as part of their jobs. In turn, the corporations or government agencies block some web sites such as eBay, Gunbroker, Amazon, any xxx site, most political sites, etc. Since the members get the hardware and Internet access for free, it's not a bad deal. (When I worked at my local air base, I was given a laptop & access. I usually left it at the base as I like having access to the blocked sites). Those members have no clue what the thread is about without pics.

This site is thought to have some educational value as to Lugers specifically and military handguns in general. Posting the pics to the thread insures that those members who have interest in certain topics, maybe like poor repros (and excellent ones as well) can compare them with known 'real' items.

eBay 'auctions' and sales are only online for a limited time. Not everyone logs on every day. Having a pic attached is not that difficult. It insures that the topic is 'illustrated' in the future.

IIRC, the forum administrator and site owner would occasionally post a comment requesting that pics be attached, not linked.

I particularly like to read about repros, counterfeits, etc as I recently found out that a handgun I thought was made in Germany was actually a Chinese copy. A really good one, with correct spellings, fonts, and graphics.

Thank you for nominating me for Forum Photo Coordinator. I hope the mods/admin take notice and give your recommendation some serious thought.

This is a very basic teaching moment for Luger neophytes. It's a great representation of the wavy stitching and cartoon eagle to avoid. Granted, something similar will likely be available on eBay however far into the future, but I think it's good to preserve bad examples as a cautionary tale.

Joe, Unwind a little. A fellow member posting a photo is no skin off your nose. A simple thanks! Is shorter to type too. If it's no use for your education doesn't mean no one can use it.

I find it interesting that some days I will look at up to 50 items in a row, all poor repro's from Pakistan before I run into any original stuff. Some day I bet I get to a full page of 200...
