Prices of all firearms have been rising with demand but it's more in the utility category than collectible firearms.

There seems to be more activity on the Luger Forums with new members joining, but I expect it's people that have decided to buy a home or carry defense firearm in the USA, and that "always wanted a Luger", so are thinking about them.

This is, of course, all speculation except for statistics like the NICS clearance numbers:

The past year and 4 months has been remarkable and impressive...

Just remember... Buy low and sell high!

Marc . Wish some one had told me that 60 years ago. I think I had it backwards. Bill

I am unsure about the price of Lugers going up. But, given the current US administration's economic policy, the value of the dollar is going down. I believe we are on the threshold of inflationary times.

If Biden and his squad get their way; you better save the almost worthless dollar now!

There you go. A lot of folks don't understand the "value" of a Luger today is pretty much the same as it was 20 years ago. It just takes a much bigger stack of dollars to buy it, because the dollars are only worth a fraction of what they used to be.

Biden plans to increase taxes, yes...but only for individuals who drag down more than $400k/year, and humongous corporations that pay little to none now. Increased rates proposed are nowhere what they were before Reagan. It won't affect the rest of us. I have little sympathy for the plight of Amazon or its owner.

Then why hope for the prices to go up?

I mean, yes it may make me feel good that the price of my Parabellums is increasing, but as I'm not selling and on the contrary still looking to buy, a price increase is bad.

Is also bad for new guys getting on the hobby.

Corporations do not pay taxes - people pay taxes
Any tax on a corporation is paid by those same people with increased prices.

In 1908 you could probably buy a Luger for a $20.00 gold piece. You can do the same today!

I've got a few Krugerrands. Anyone want to sell me a nice Portuguese Navy Luger for one?

You probobly need more than just a few! Its nice to own lugers! Lugers are equity that can out lives us all! They get more valuable, instead of less! I enjoy something that I can hold in my hand and proud to do so and share! Cash does not have a story as everyone owns some! Lugers are an integral place in our history! Past and Present~Every One Has A History and prior ownership. Thus Timeless relevance and beauty! In 2 decades I never had any regrets! Mot grateful for my second family who have allays been therefor close to twenty years, God Bless You All!
