Default ..appropriate .30 Luger ammo..

.
is this the ammo folks are using in the 7.56 Lugers ? if not, recommendations please

Fiocchi Specialty, .30 Luger, MC, 93 Grain

and while on the subject, for 9mm Lugers - would any decent 115gr, such as Winchester White Box, be good to go with ?

thank you

Winchester white box 9mm Luger 115 grain is the best I've found. It it also ideal for the P38 if you have one.

Remington makes a similar load but they seem to be a little long in terms of OAL.
They feed fine in some Lugers but not others. Remington rounds do not feed reliably in any of my P38's

I put 1000 round of WWB through my 1914 DWM shooter last year with zero issues of any kind.

I will let someone else chime in on the .30 Luger as I dont shoot much of it.
A quick search would probably answer that question.

There are lots of threads on shooting the .30 luger, maybe try 7,65mm as search.

Fiocchi is hit or miss with regard to functioning of many .30 pistols; Privi seems much more reliable in more/different pistols.

I shoot both Fiocchi and PPU in my 30 luger, functions just fine. I reload for both. 30 luger Hornady .309 dia. 93gr. and 9mm Hornady 115gr. bullets using Bullseye powder for both. I buy those bullets at MidwayUSA.

I used the Fiocchi 93 grain and it gave my gun zero issues. Every Luger has its ammo that it likes and that just varies gun to gun.

There is a long thread, either here or the other luger forum, discussing Fiocchi use and its variability over the years. Fiocchi have changed the color of the box several times, and these box colors seem to also indicate load changes; some work some don't.

Box color- black, purple, and two shades of grey, and maybe other variants; moral of the story is that Fiocchi is not just one load- but several.

The box color I used was the Fiocchi Black if that helps out at all.

Another 9mm factory load that I have had good luck with in my Lugers is PMC 115gr FMJ.....it is made in Korea. It is priced right, and performs well for me. I don't care for the Remington 9mm, nor does my Lugers.

The Fiocchi 92gr FMJ ammo(maroon box, also the grey box) runs well in my handguns, but I know it does not for some of the member's Lugers. I am a handloader, so I have developed loads that my handguns like.
