The top portion of the sight is not serrated.

Some additional info, the Navy front sight is also shorter in height because of the higher front sight block found on the Navy barrel . The normal P08 front sight is 5.5mm the Navy is 5.0mm.

I also think the angle of the Navy sight is steeper than that of normal p08.

When I installed the front sight from my 4" barrel onto my repo 6" navy barrel the difference between the angle of the of the sight block and the sight was quite noticeable.

There was discussion on the Navy front sight not to long ago…look about five topics down to "Bought Navy ? about front sight".

It should be noted that the seller does not claim that this is a Navy sight, he calls it a P08 sight, which is correct.

Also, the top has a radius, opposed to a point. I made my posting based on this info about the sight, recently discussed on another thread http://forum.lugerforum.com/showpost...76&postcount=5 . The profile of this one listed looks like the Navy pictured in the post. But...

Concerning sight blade height, I'm still confused. As demonstrated by my 6" barrel transformation project, the top surface of the sight block on a P.08 muzzle seems to be the same as that of a 1900/06 style when it comes to distance from the center axis of the bore. Check out my last post on this thread http://forum.lugerforum.com/showthread.php?t=29518 . What we need is a bit of time from someone who can measure and post this dimension on as-issued examples of the different designs/styles, or a link to where this info is listed.
