Thumbs up Mauser Commemoratives & Mr. Kornmayer

Hello Fellows,
I have just received my copy of the Allanâ??s book â??The Mauser Parabellumâ?.
There is an important point in this book that I would like to stress: the very close relationship between Mr. Kornmayer, one of most important Luger collector and historian, and the Mauser Parabellum Commemoratives. According to a letter written by Mr. Kornmayer to Mr. Allan, Mr. Kornmayer said that the first commemorative model (Swiss model to commemorate the 40 years of Mauser production 1934-1974 serial number 10.005009) was a customized model made for him. Mr. Kornmayer bought 4 customized commemorative models. Only after this idea of Mr. Kornmayer, Mauser decided to produce little amount of commemorative models (about 250 pistols for every model). Therefore thank you Mr. Kornmayer for your very competent idea that starts the production of these beautiful items.

Thumbs up

Hello Gerben,
Please find hereafter the information about the Allan's book:
THE MAUSER PARABELLUM
by Francis C. Allan
edited by Joseph P. Koss, Jr.

I bought my autographed copy from Tom Heller.
I guess he has some copies still available.
Ciao
Mauro

If Tom Heller has any copies left, buy from him.. His price is much less than I paid going through Amazon and mine is not signed.

It is an excellent book and anyone interested in these guns should get a copy if possible.

Richie, I'll also throw in a Mauser catalog showing some of their fancy engraved Parabellums in trade for the parts that you are sending. Thanks, TH

Tom,

Do you still have any copies? I'd like one if you do.
