1940 42

I have a question, I'm pretty new in the Luger field, I came across this 1940 42 code, sorry not full pics, but it's a 42 all matching except Mag. What kind of value can I place on this?

It looks very nice and in excellent condition. Based on limited info. I'll ballpark it between $1500 and $2000. Of course that depends on which side of the counter you are standing...

If it's in as good condition as it appears to be and I was in the market for a 42 40 Nazi Military I'd go $2,000.00

The only reason that I didn't guestimate a higher value is that I have seen an unusually high number of these later production guns in what appears to be nearly unissued condition, so while an older gun might go higher, this one is just a bit less extra-ordinary. I may be all wet, it is just a personal theory.
