Default Interesting Development In Iowa

The local paper has found it necessary, I don't know why, to print the names of all the Concelled Wepons Permit Holders. They give no other reason but that it is PUBLIC KNOWLEGE. Very nice is'nt it?

Ain't it amazing how the press *always* bally-hoos the First Amendment while attempting to belittle the Second. I wonder how many of the "talking heads" are aware that the "Shot heard round the world" was an armed resistance to gun grabbing by the red coats-yep, Lexington was about resistance to gun control.

But I digress.

I should think that the publication of public information such as this serves no useful purpose. The press can print just about anything; perhaps that's why we hold them in such high esteem, like used car salesmen and politicians..sigh.

FWIW,

Default CCW names

A Cal. newspaper started this about 10 years ago [Contra Costa Times]...they went to court and got a court order forcing the Law Enforcement agencies to release the info on a 'public needs to know' basis.

They. however, also listed several cops who also had CCWs and that violated the law!

Several lawsuits were files.

Too bad the paper doesn't realize the other side of the coin, now the crooks know which houses have unarmed citizens in them!

I will bet IOWA criminals are disappointed they didn't publish the names of all gun owners. Then by omission they would know the names of all who are unarmed.

Default In the public interest...

I think we should disclose just who of the Luger Forum memebership is a CCW holder. I mean after all, wouldn't you like to know if someone posting to this forum might be armed and dangerous???

Consider me armed, but dangerous only to those who present danger unto me and mine. Then, I can and have been, lethal.

Sorry, but I do not use a Luger for these occasions. It is always a 1911 A-1.

I think next they are going to print the names of all single women over the age of 72 who live alone....than all people with Handicap Parking Permits....etc.

Hey Ted,

Them armydildos is just Panzer Possums; you can sell 'em in Downtown DC as possum on the half shell.
