Hey G.T.

AR15.com definitely is the BEST website for that family of firearms... I have been a member there longer than I have been here (actually since it was an email listserv and before it was a webpage...! but I seldom post there(as biometrics )... because I spend all my time here...

That gun is really engineered! almost as well as a Luger ... I think it is the best battle rifle on the face of the planet. A fine successor to the M-1 and M-14 that I took my initial rifle marksmanship training with...

I like it better than my Garand with National Match sights.

I bought my Colt AR-15 SP1 in 1971... and still have it, but I upgraded the handguards to the new A2 type simply because they are easier to hold.

Ed Tinker is right... there are VERY loosely enforced rules on that site about flames... it is often out of control... NOT LIKE THIS FORUM at all...but the best AR-15 and M-16 folks are there for information and advice.
