Default NAVY LUGER - A Lugerforum community project ....

Hi,

First of all I apologize if this topic isn't strictly related to collectors, but it is to Luger Navy and I think it's an interesting project to share with this community.

I've recently made a very detailed 3D virtual model of the Luger P08 based on the original blueprints by John Sabato.
In case you missed the topic you can download the model here: http://forum.lugerforum.com/showthre...hreadid=19053.

Now I would like to go on with the navy version and I ask for your help because there are no blueprints available (not that I know) and it is impossible for me to find a sample.
At the end of the job that I am now going to explain, I'll made the new Luger Navy 3D model available for everybody.

The job is essentially divided in three main phases:

Phase 1
I'd need someone of you to dismount the rear toggle link of a navy Luger and all the relative rear sight components, the barrel and the front sight.
Then he should take close up pictures of each of them from many different angles (the more the better).
He could post the pictures here or send them at this address: roy.bossit@gmail.com

Phase 2
Based on the pictures I'll made the blueprints with dimensions left blank and I'll post them here.

Phase 3
With a caliber he should measure the pieces and fill up the blueprints, post them here or send them to my address.

At this point I'll be able to produce the model.

I am not in a hurry and I'd like to do this well. The more of you collaborate to this project the more precise the result will be.
As many of you have alredy experienced, the kind of 3D file I produce is very handy and could be a useful technical reference.

Thank you in advance.
