Talking First payoff for the Shoulder Stock exchange!

Reunited for the first time after 89+ years apart! I will let the forum members decide if my conclusions are correct. I got the stock from Joop today. When I initially slid the iron on the lug it was very tight. With a little effort and some oil the iron slid home and locked up tight! As some may know these irons were hand fitted and numbered to the guns. I have never been able to take one stock and put it on another Luger. This one although tight still locked down in the correct place. A word now about the man who made this all possible. Joop van de Kant kindly offered to trade me one of my spare stocks for the one we hoped would fit my gun. For this his price was $0.00! I did throw $$ in for the shipping here. Words cannot express my gratitude to this fine collector form across the world!
Joop, I owe you big time!

Hey Doug, How cool can it get!!! Congratulations, this is outstanding. I'm happy for you. How's that for some lupins?
As I have said before, where else can you meet people from the other side of the world. And know them, and have them as friends, without ever meeting face to face.

Joop,
This was a very nice thing to do. It's takes a man with integrity to do something like this. You are to be commended.

I would have nailed him for about $500 to boot. But then I'm a sleeze

Ron

Doug, Ron & David,

Thank you for your kind words to my regard.
But really, I do not think that it is so very special to change a stock with another forum member when it is a matching one for him. For me it was a non - matching, and after the swap I still have a non - matching. No difference and no loss of value for me. Doug's replacement fits nicely on my Artillery Luger...
I would expect the same treatment when it was me asking for a swap...

Joop
